UFO researcher Paul Ascough made sensational claims about an ongoing technology transfer agreement between alien species and the government of some Western countries.
Ascough, the author of UFOs – the Real Story, is a well-known alien conspiracy theorist. He told the Daily Star that technologically advanced extraterrestrial species run a top-secret spacecraft development program with the U.S. and its allies.
Gray aliens are working with Western governments
Ascough claimed that an alleged extraterrestrial species, the Gray aliens, have lived in top-secret Western research facilities (such as Area 51) for decades. They have been helping governments develop sophisticated aerospace technologies based on advanced alien science.
According to Ascough, the Western allies first established contact with the Gray aliens in the 1940s while World War II raged.
The Allies won the aliens to their side and received technical assistance that helped speed the development of aerospace technology in the post-World War II era.
Ascough ascribed multiple technological breakthroughs– spaceflight technology, microchips, synthetic fibers, and fiber optics — to the E.T. species.
Extraterrestrials helped build stealth fighter jets
Other breakthroughs Ascough attributed to Gray aliens include stealth aircraft design. He claimed that the streamlined design of fifth-generation U.S. fighter jets, such as the F-22 Raptor, F-35, and stealth strategic bombers, such as the B-21 Raider, is based on the aerodynamic design of alien flying saucers.
Ascough, a former U.S. military officer, also ascribed advances in various fields, such as telecommunications, engineering, and artificial intelligence, to the help Western governments allegedly received from the E.T. species.
“Black projects” moved from Area 51 to Dugway Proving Grounds
Alien and UFO conspiracy theorists have claimed for decades that Area 51, a secretive U.S. Air Force facility near Groom Lake, Nevada, is the site of the alleged joint projects between the government and the Gray aliens.
However, Ascough told the Daily Star that the authorities have recently moved their “black projects” from Area 51 to Dugway Proving Grounds.
Dugway Proving Grounds is another top-secret facility 85 miles southwest of Salt Lake City, Utah. The military authorities used the facility, established in 1942, for chemical and biological weapons testing.
But UFO conspiracy theorists claim it is now the primary site for the alleged reverse-engineering programs.
Who are the Gray aliens?
The legendary Gray aliens (or Grays) feature prominently in UFO and alien folklore. Many UFO conspiracy theorists believe the Grays concluded a secret military-technology alliance with the U.S. and its allies in the 1940s.
There are different conflicting theories of the origin of the alleged relationship between the aliens and the U.S. government. While some theorists claim the relationship started during World War II, others date it back to the 1947 Roswell UFO incident.
According to folklore, the U.S. military authorities recovered dead Gray aliens from the wreckage of the UFO that allegedly crashed at Roswell. They also allegedly rescued at least one crew member who survived the crash.
Based on the testimony by UFO abductees Betty and Barney Hill, who claimed in 1961 that Gray aliens kidnapped them, some conspiracy theorists concluded that Gray aliens originated from the Zeta Reticuli binary star system in the southern constellation of Reticulum.
The species probably derived their designation as “Grays” from their depiction as grey or silvery-skinned humanoids with oversized heads, eyes, and spindly limbs.
