UFO whistleblower David Grusch alleged that the Vatican helped the U.S. government recover a crashed UFO from Italy in 1944.
After the fall of Mussolini’s fascist regime in 1943, Pope Pius XII allegedly tipped off the U.S. government about the UFO that crashed in Lombardy in 1933.
Mussolini recovered a crashed UFO in 1933
Benito Mussolini was the Prime Minister of Italy in 1933 when a bell-shaped flying saucer allegedly crashed at a site on the outskirts of Magenta near Milan in Lombardy, northern Italy.
Grusch told NewsNation that the first recovery of a crashed UFO in Europe occurred when Mussolini’s government successfully recovered the alien spacecraft in 1933.
After the Italian dictator recovered the partially intact alien spacecraft, he started a program under the Gabinetto RS/33 (Special Research Cabinet 33) to study and reverse-engineer it.
He allegedly appointed the famous Nobel Prize-winning Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi to head the program.
Italy 1944 was the first time the U.S. recovered a crashed UFO
However, after Mussolini fell from power in July 1943, Pope Pius XII tipped off the Americans about the flying saucer stored at a facility belonging to the aviation company SIAI-Marchetti, near Vergiate in Lombardy.
The pope allegedly contacted the U.S. government in 1943 and shared information about the alien spacecraft in the custody of the Italian government through secret back channels.
Grusch, a former National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), claimed that American troops found the alleged alien UFO in 1944 after the Allied invasion of Italy.
He told the French publication Le Parisien that officers from the former U.S. intelligence agency, the OSS (Office of Strategic Services), retrieved the UFO in 1944 and transported it to their country.
Grusch claimed during an interview with NewsNation in June that the incident was the first in history that the U.S. successfully recovered a crashed UFO (Watch full NewsNation interview below).
The Vatican knows about aliens
Grusch also claimed that the Vatican was aware of the existence of intelligent non-human species.
The former intelligence official was not the first to claim that the Vatican knows about extraterrestrial life.
Alien and UFO conspiracy theories claim that Vatican archives contain documents detailing encounters with aliens and UFOs that occurred centuries ago.

An Italian researcher appeared to corroborate Grusch’s story
Roberto Pinotti, an Italian UFO researcher, appeared to corroborate Grusch’s story.
Pinotti told the Daily Mail that documents he received by mail from an anonymous source suggested that a UFO crashed near Magenta in northern Italy in 1933, years before the 1947 Roswell incident.
The source sent him the documents after he and a partner, Alfredo Lissoni, started investigating local legends that a UFO crashed in northern Italy before World War II.
The anonymous source claimed the documents belonged to a relative who had participated in Mussolini’s UFO program.
The documents included a memo dated August 22, 1936 that featured hand sketches and a description of what appeared to be a saucer-shaped flying machine.
The documents also included telegrams allegedly from June 1933, warning officials to keep the UFO crash secret. They threatened the arrest and prosecution of officials who leaked the information.
Although Pinotti claimed that forensic analysis confirmed the memo was likely genuine, skeptics dismissed it, saying they were forgeries.
Locals shared stories about the 1933 incident
Residents of Magenta in northern Italy shared stories about the alleged 1933 alien UFO crash.
A local claimed that their great-great-grandfather Pietro Negri was the Mayor of Arona in the 1930s when the incident happened. The old mayor shared stories about the incident and claimed that the authorities recovered the dead bodies of small-statured humanoid creatures with blond hair from the crash site.
The authorities also used threats and intimidation to dissuade the locals from spreading the information.
