In a recent episode of History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, a veteran commercial pilot shares the story of his encounter with a mysterious shapeshifting UFO while flying over a volcano in Alaska.
Theo Chesley, a veteran pilot with nearly four decades of experience in the air, had heard stories of pilots encountering strange flying objects but did not take them seriously.
He remained a UFO skeptic until two encounters during separate flights over the Aleutian Islands in Alaska (see video below).
The first was a mysterious disc-shaped object parked over Alaska’s Mount Shishaldin in 2019, and the second was a black UFO concealed in a freak cloud formation over the same mountain.
Chesley snapped photos during the encounters and shared them with Ancient Alien’s David Childress.
The latest story comes after Paranormal Papers reported that conspiracy theorists dubbed an area of Alaska the Alaska Triangle, following multiple reports of strange paranormal events in the area.
Disc-shaped UFO over active Alaskan volcano
One morning late in October 2019, Chesley took off from Sand Point (Popof Island) carrying three passengers on a routine charter flight over the Aleutian Islands to Dutch Harbor (Unalaska Islands).
The flight took them over Mount Shishaldin, an active volcano (Shishaldin Volcano), roughly halfway to their destination.
[Note: Mount Shishaldin is the highest peak on the US side of the chain of volcanic islands in the state of Alaska. Some of the islands are part of Kamchatka, Russia.]
As they approached the volcano, Chesley and his passengers noticed a strange disc-shaped object in the sky about 15 miles south of the volcano.
The shape grew more visible or prominent as it moved. It also seemed to change its orientation in space and morph into a more spherical shape. It eventually stopped when it came close to the volcano.
Chesley recalled that the weather was good and the visibility excellent that morning. So, he had little reason to doubt the testimony of his eyesight.
The other passengers also saw the strange object and agreed with him that it was a disc-shaped UFO that morphed into a spherical shape.
UFO had “perfect symmetry”
Chesley described the UFO as a disc-shape with perfect symmetry. He and his passengers watched it without deviating from their flight path.
As they flew, their perspective of the object changed, but their perception of its shape as a disc held. However, they noticed it had something in the back resembling a tail.
He had no idea what it was. But it looked wispy and might have been exhaust smoke.
He denied that the object could have been a disc-shaped plume of thick smoke the active volcano belched out. He was sure it was a solid object with a consistent and rigid structure. They watched it for several minutes as they flew past the volcano. It did not change shape or disperse like smoke.
It was unlike anything he had ever seen during the thousands of hours of his flying experience.
Mystery green sphere on the side of the mountain
As they watched the UFO in astonishment, a spherical green object appeared on the side of the mountain.
Meanwhile, a smaller object flew inside the disc-shaped UFO parked over the mountain and appeared to “pull it out of shape.” (see video above).
He believed that the disc-shaped UFO and the green sphere were large objects, about half a mile wide. They remained visible to unaided eyes from 40-50 miles.
Cloaked UFO over Alaska volcano
He had a second UFO encounter over Alaska shortly afterwards.
He was flying in a different aircraft six months later when he looked out of his window to the left. He saw a massive cloud formation that suddenly appeared in otherwise clear and cloudless blue skies.
The cloud appeared suddenly from nowhere and hovered over the volcano. It then began morphing in shape. A close-up look showed the outlines of a massive black object concealed within the cloud.
While returning, he passed over the mountain with his aircraft on autopilot. As he passed, he noticed that his plane was veering off course as though some force was pushing it in a different direction.
He had to take the aircraft off autopilot to get it back on its flight path.
